Write your way to Worlds! (Finals)

Submit your article and get the chance to win a travel award to the 2015 Pokemon World Championships!

07/25/2015 by 60Cards

Hello, everyone!

The WRITE YOUR WAY TO WORLDS competition is over and we would like to announce the winners. During the past few days, we have discussed it with the three leading authors and they have all agreed on a three-way split of the $1400 stipend. We would like to congratulate Rahul Reddy, Steffen Eriksen, and Gonçalo Pereira, who will be representing 60cards at Worlds.

We are also happy to announce that 60cards will be holding the WRITE YOUR WAY TO WORLDS competition again next season! We will be announcing the details after the 2015 World Championship.

For the first time ever, a Pokemon content site will be offering its readers the chance to win huge prizes by participating in writing articles themselves! Ever read something before and thought: ‘Hey! I could do that?’ Well now is your chance, guys! Take part and spread the word!

Prizes:

1st $1000 Travel Award to Boston.

2nd $ 400 Travel Award to Boston.

3rd One Booster Box of most current expansion.

Start date of the entire competition: December 25th

End date of the entire competition : July 25th

Players can submit an article at any time between the start and end date of each round. It is of course advised you do so earlier (the start date), to give yourself the best chance of picking up the most likes to advance to the finals. Each round will have one winner advancing to the finals, based on the article receiving the most likes.

Each article has this "LIKE" button. The final ranking will be determined according to number of "LIKES" in the article.

You can always see the current ranking on the right side in the COMMUNITY section.

Once in the finals, the 12 winners will submit a new article with the most liked article winning a $1000 Travel Award to the Pokemon World Championships 2015, in Boston. You cannot repost the same article at any point and cannot win more than one round. You are however more than welcome to post a new article each round for practice, and to help build a readership. These will potentially give you the best shot at winning the whole thing!

The articles themselves must not be taken from any other site, or reused on any other site. People found doing so, or using other peoples work will have their entry automatically disqualified. There are also measures in place to restrict gaining an unfair advantage within the competition. In order to maintain the integrity of the competition and protect all honest competitors; anyone found cheating, will also be removed from the competition.

NEW RULE (JULY 11th): Do not buy votes. Offering money, codes or anything alse will be considered as cheating from now on!

Articles can be about anything Pokemon related! Tournament reports, random stories; theory, whatever you like. Please keep in mind however, that we are a TCG site and would prefer content to match what our readers look for.

If you have your trip to Boston already paid via Pokemon (officially): The prize will be a travel award to any Pokemon event you’d like. Anyone can participate. However, unfortunately we will not be paying for a parent/guardian to go in the event that a person under the age of 18 wins, unless covered within the $1000 limit for both to attend.
